The Lord desires that we seek His face and not His hand. He has commanded us to love Him with all of our heart, soul, and mind.  This commandment is found in the Old Testament in Deuteronomy 6:5. Also in the New Testament in Mathew 22:37 Jesus replied: " Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." Jesus calls this the first and greatest commandment. Mathew 22:38. 

  We love because he first loved us.1John 4:19   

   For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3

    But the whoever loves God is known by God. 1 Corinthians 8:3

     And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
